The Value of Transatlantic Ecosystem Cooperation: CEO Solveig Johannessen at Campus Live #5

July 13, 2026

Digital health innovation thrives when collaboration transcends borders.

On June 16, Dova’s CEO Solveig Johannessen lended her expertise at the “Masterclass: Medicen X Digital” panel at Campus Live! #5 hosted in Paris, France.

Taking place annually at the PariSanté Campus, Campus Live brands itself as the “flagship event” of artificial intelligence and the digital health ecosystem. The event was first established in 2022, with founding members including Inserm, PSL University, Inria, Health Data Hub, Agence du Numérique en Santé, as well as its partner Everpure.

The summit brings together institutional leaders, researchers, and healthcare innovators from around the world: engaging in keynotes, demonstrations, round tables, and other avenues for valuable exchange. Attendees discussed solutions for today’s most pressing obstacles in health transformation and explored opportunities for strategic collaboration. This year’s rendition centered around 3 guiding axes: health augmented by AI, connected health ecosystems, and the integration of the organic, genomic, and digital revolutions to shape the future of medicine.

Speaking at the panel alongside Solveig was Hickmah Tagaully, who serves as the Director of Europe and International Affairs at Medicen Paris Region, Jen Mielguj, the Director of IP and Partnerships at DIGITAL, as well as Frederic Chieux, Trade Commissioner of Life Sciences at the Embassy of Canada in France. The dialogue was moderated by Ariane Warlin, Founder of AW Factory. The group also enjoyed time at the residence of the Canadian Ambassador to France, immersing themselves in an ecosystem of global innovators and expanding their network.

The panel demonstrates a shared ambition to transform bilateral cooperation into an innovation corridor across digital health and AI, driven by real-world impact for patients and healthcare systems. Growing alignment between French and Canadian innovation ecosystem exhibit how partnerships can move beyond institutional agreements to enable concrete projects, clinical collaborations, and market access for health technologies. Innovation in areas such as AI, data-driven healthcare, and personalized medicine increasingly depends on international collaboration between researchers, healthcare providers, and public institutions.

The growing partnership between Medicen Paris Region and Canada’s DIGITAL Supercluster represents a shared effort to build bridges between France and Canada, creating valuable opportunities for healthcare innovators on both sides of the Atlantic.

Dova is grateful for the continued support of DIGITAL. We are the proud recipient of a $2 million co-investment from DIGITAL to support the fast-tracking and initial market launch of DovaSound, our AI-powered intestinal ultrasound imaging (IUS) platform. The project aims to expand clinical access to IUS through the accelerated development of AI-enhanced tools that enhance the IBD assessment. Read more here.

Further, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between DIGITAL and INOVAIT earlier this year in which Dova is named amongst the Canadian companies supported by their collaboration. This support paves the way for accelerated commercialization, strengthened innovation pathways, and opportunities for Canadian companies like Dova to scale globally. Read more about the MoU here.
