Chaucer Qiu
SENIOR DATA ENGINEER
Chaucer is a Senior Data Engineer at Dova, where he designs and builds scalable, cloud-based data platforms that enable smarter, data-driven decision-making in healthcare. With a strong background in data engineering, cloud DevOps, and infrastructure automation, he brings a thoughtful, systems-oriented approach to solving complex problems.
Before joining Dova, he was a Data Engineer and DevOps Engineer at General Motors of Canada, where he developed high-throughput data pipelines for vehicle data and led CI/CD automation initiatives using GitHub Actions and Terraform—reducing deployment times and enhancing reliability.
Earlier in his career, Chaucer worked as an IT Project Manager at ABB and IBM China, delivering large-scale IT infrastructure projects, including a major data center relocation. Chaucer holds a MSc in Professional Computer Science from Simon Fraser University and a MEng in Computer Technology from Beijing University of Technology. His technical interests include big data architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and intelligent workflow automation.
