Randy Tan
POST DOC RESEARCHER
Randy Tan is a Post Doc Researcher at Dova. He has recently completed his PhD at Toronto Metropolitan University where he also acquired his MASc. and BEng. He specializes in eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) and hybrid systems between deep learning and statistical machine learning. He has experience with parallel processing, feature engineering, feature visualization, and hybrid models.
During his PhD, Randy worked on examining the latent space in deep learning models. His work focused on creating custom learning rules that would allow similar neurons to be grouped together during training. Combined with other visualization techniques, his work would allow data engineers to have deeper insight into high dimensional latent spaces.
